Daymond John’s Early Life and Career
John was born on February 23, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in Queens, where he started his first business selling pencils at the age of six. He went on to work at Red Lobster and as a courier for a clothing company before starting FUBU in 1992.
